Renewals and unpaid invoices

Services renew for another billing period when their renewal invoice is paid, in advance. The portal raises the renewal invoice ahead of the due date and emails it. An invoice left unpaid can lead to the service being suspended; paying it restores the service.

How renewals work

Services are paid in advance for each billing period; PortWall WAF is billed monthly or annually, as chosen when ordering. Ahead of each due date the portal raises a renewal invoice and emails it to you. Paying it renews the service for the next period. Account credit added with Add Funds pays renewal invoices automatically; see Invoices and paying.

Seeing when a service renews

Sign in to https://portwall.net/billing/, open Services and choose the service: its page shows the billing cycle and the next due date.

If a renewal invoice is not paid

Non-payment may result in suspension or termination of the service. A suspended service is restored once the outstanding invoice is paid; nothing has to be set up again.

For PortWall WAF, a suspended licence keeps protecting your sites for a short grace period. After that, blocking steps back while detection carries on, and blocking returns as soon as the licence is active again. See Licences, editions and licence states.

Stopping a service from renewing

To stop paying for a service, cancel it before its next due date; see Changing or cancelling a service.
