Your PortWall customer account

One customer account in the PortWall portal at portwall.net/billing holds every PortWall service you buy, its invoices and your support tickets. Create it when you first order, sign in with your email address and password, and use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page if you lose the password.

What the customer account is

Your PortWall customer account is where you order PortWall products, see your services and their licences, pay invoices and open support tickets. It lives in the PortWall portal at https://portwall.net/billing/. One account covers every PortWall product, so a PortWall WAF licence and a SpamDuster service bought by the same company sit side by side in the same account.

The customer account is separate from the PortWall console on your own servers: signing in to the portal does not sign you in to a PortWall installation, and the console's operators are not portal users.

Creating an account

You create the account while placing your first order, or beforehand:

  1. Open https://portwall.net/billing/ and choose Create Account.
  2. Fill in Email Address, Password and Repeat Password, your name, postal address and Phone.
  3. Pick the Account type that fits you, type the characters shown under Image Verification, and submit.

Use an email address your team reads: invoices, renewal notices and replies to your support tickets go there.

Signing in

Open https://portwall.net/billing/, choose Client Area (or Login at the top right), and enter your Email Address and Password. Once signed in, the menu shows Dashboard, Order, Services, Account and Support.

These details are your portal login only. They differ from any password for your servers or for the PortWall console.

Forgotten password

On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?, enter the email address of your account, and follow the link in the email you receive to set a new password. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then write to [email protected] from the same address.

Changing your password and details

Sign in, open Account, then:

  • Edit Details changes your name, postal address, phone and the email address you sign in with. Choose Save Changes when done.
  • Change password sets a new portal password.
  • Manage contacts adds colleagues who may use the account, for example someone in accounts who pays invoices or an engineer who opens tickets, without sharing your own password.

Keep the address on Edit Details correct: it is printed on your invoices.

Where to find things after signing in

  • Services: every service you have bought, with its status. Open one to see its details; for PortWall WAF this is where the licence key is. See Telling your services apart.
  • Account: your details, password, contacts and account credit (Add Funds).
  • Support: Open New Support Ticket and Tickets Archive (your earlier tickets). See Getting help.
  • Invoices: see Invoices and paying.
